Thomas Bounds
Director, Information Technology

A graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, Thomas has over 40 years of experience in the public and private sectors.

Thomas started his computer career with the State before leaving for the private sector. He spent several years in beef and poultry meat processing industries as well the rural health care sector. While serving in these industries, Thomas was President of the North American Data General's User Group, President of the Laurel-Hattiesburg Chapter of DPMA, President of the Magee Adopt a School program and active in various civic organizations. He returned to the State as Director of Information Technology with the Treasury for the past twelve years.

Thomas is active in his church and enjoys time with his grandchildren, traveling with his wife Jean and gardening. Thomas and Jean have two sons: Greg and Brian and five grandchildren.
