Tony Geiger
Director, Unclaimed Property
Tony has more than 20 years of experience in management, marketing and sales. Before he joined the staff at the Treasurer's office, Tony was a marketing representative for the Mississippi Press Association in Jackson. He specialized in relationship-building and business development, marketing MPS offerings and the strength of newspapers to prospective clients statewide.
Tony joined MPA/MPS after working in industrial sales and as a liaison to energy companies for Jackson-based Hayes
Dent Public Strategies. As the lead liaison, he worked with local and state government agencies to provide them with innovative solutions. He has been involved in the energy efficiency and conservation business for 15 years, where he has worked to make government, industry and educational facilities energy efficient.
Tony attended the Universtity of Mississippi and graduated with a B.S. Degree from Mississippi College in History and Psychology. He is married to the former Susan Wood of Tupelo, Mississippi. Susan is a Physical Therapist Manager at Methodist Rehabilitation. They have one daughter, Emison Terrell Geiger and reside in Jackson, Mississippi. Tony and Susan are members of the First Presbyterian Church, in Jackson, Mississippi.
